Pope John Afforestation is an open public garden which hosts many trees and wild plants. It covers a wide area and is nowadays home to some animals, insects, and a resting place for migration birds.

The locals like to visit the garden in the evening after swimming at Gorgun Bay which is just a couple of minutes away. Although not officially a campsite, it is not uncommon to find some adventurous people camping underneath the trees.
