Ramla Bay

Ramla Bay is the most popular beach in Gozo consisting of a long stretch of red sand. In fact, this bay is known as Ir-Ramla l-Ħamra, which translates to Red Sand.

Upon entering the bay, there are remains of the Roman Villa lying beneath the sand. These are visible on the right side of the bay, and practically look like the pediment of a wall of limestone.

This bay is a lovely spot for swimming and chilling in the sun. At the back of the bay, there are protected sand dunes, on which there are endemic flora and fauna.

Għajn Barrani

This bay stretches between Marsalforn and Ramla. It consists of a flat land and clay slopes which are rich in flora. In this area, one can find various fruit trees and typical garigue. It is good to point out that this area is a Natura 2000 site to preserve it natural heritage.
