Qbajjar

a coastal road with tall apartments, and calm shallow water on the other

Qbajjar is a wide bay facing the North East. This helps the shore to keep shelter from the strong prevailing wind from the North West. The beach is full of small pebbles. During the winter months, the coastline is covered with Posidonia that the waves pull up from the sea bed.

The bay is frequently crowded with families during the summer months. Small boats are also moored on the left hand side of the bay. The sea is shallow and filled with groups of green Posidonia which is a protected marine species.

Next to the beach you will find restaurants serving food in the evening. You can also try to BBQ some local Maltese sausages adjacent to the beach.
