The Mramma Temple is also known as “Hagret l-Imramma” in Maltese. This construction is found in the South of Gozo, outside the limits of Sannat village on the Ta’ Cenc Plateau.

The outside walls were built with large squarish stones. The ones near the entrance are the strongest in structural integrity ever found on the Maltese islands. Dated to be from the period 3000 – 4000 BC, the date is not yet official.

The temple has a typical doorway facing south with an oval courtyard. The uniqueness of this structure are the small near circular chambers found on the inside.

As the site is not yet excavated, it is closed for public access for preservation purposes. However, nearby you will find some megaliths and cart ruts in the stone.
