Gbejniet

Gbejniet also called local cheeslets. This is a local product made with fresh goat milk. The high quality cheese is in high demand.

You will find different kinds of gbejniet for sale. The fresh ones will be “large” with milk still dripping out of the cheese. To try the fresh gbejniet you have to buy them at the deli counter from a supermarket or grocery store. The other kind of gbejniet would be dried, making them smaller and harder. These can be found either plain or else heavily covered with peppers.  Personally, I prefer the latter version of them all.

The dried gbejniet can also be found from grocery store. However, you can also find them packed at touristic establishments. So, you have no excuse not to try them. Also, you can take some with you for your family back home.
