Your cycling journey for the South segment will start from the village of Gharb. After visiting the main church, head towards San Lawrenz village and down to Dwejra. The area is quite unique and do consider to spend some time here.

Cycling up the hill back to the village may be challenging. However, the southerly segment is cycling friendly. Head towards Kercem village. Points of interest in the area are Lunzjata valley with its famous spring water source. Another location is the fresh water pond at Ghadira ta’ San Raflu. For the adventurous cyclist, you can follow the narrow countryside path to the Punic Temple

Departing from the area takes you to Victoria, the city of Gozo. A must visit is the Cittadella on top of a hill. Inside the fortified walls, you will find a Catholic cathedral, museums, and the old prison. Heading towards South takes you to Sannat village with a brief stop to gaze from the edge of Sanap Cliffs

Xewkija village is your next destination, which will be only a short cycle away.  The Rotunda church in the center of the village is another must visit. The dome is the world’s third largest unsupported. A two minutes cycle down the lane is the old windmill, which was recently professionally restored.
