For all those that do not limit themselves for a vegetarian diet, local meat dishes will tempt you to try a variety to taste. 

With many options to choose from, following are your go to dishes while visiting Gozo. 

Bragjoli are a popular dish, and still going strong today. Often topped with local tomato sauce, it gives the opportunity to taste local meat. 

The fried rabbit is a national dish. This is something you must try. Cooked slowly for around two hours, you will enjoy the meat off the bone. 

Lampuki is a seasonal fish. The wild fish is available from mid August until December. Being a versatile food, it can be served in different ways. 

Everyone fancies a sausage. The Maltese sausage is mostly made of pork meat and a handful of salt. Having a strong particular taste, I suggest you try it. 

This is a dish for the sea lovers. Octopus has always lived near the coast of the island. Often prepared as a stew, it can also be paired with rice. 

Tuna is one of the most popular fish in the Mediterranean Sea. Often served as steaks, it is an option found from most restaurants.
