The local Hobza is the famous daily bread on Gozo. The words Hobza means bread and it is enjoyed for lunch and dinner. 

This local type of bread is a round lump with a hard crispy exterior and a soft interior. Being a versatile bread you can use it in many different ways. Nowadays it is still the daily lunch for many Gozitans. You can spread butter, local tomato conserve, add cold cuts and cheese, or olives and oil.
