San Blass Bay

San Blass Bay is enclosed by hills on each side. Having a steep path to get to helps to keep away the  noisy tourists that visit Gozo during the peak summer months.

The steep road down the bay cuts off the beach from the rest of the world. Usually a sandy beach, occasionally it may spend months without any sand at all on the shore as it gets washed out into the sea during the winter season. The sea is clear. Having a shallow and sandy bottom, it is ideal for children to play and learn how to swim.

By far less busy than the other beaches, San Blass offers a quiet beach experience. On the left hand side of the bay, there is a small path that leads to a clay shore. This area is good for snorkeling. Being so isolated it is referred to as the nudist beach of Gozo.
